Calende enables businesses using our platform (“Businesses”) to send SMS messages to their customers.

By providing your phone number and opting in through a Business using Calende, you consent to receive SMS messages related to your interactions with that Business. These messages may include appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling updates, order or service updates, and customer support responses.

Message frequency varies based on your activity with each Business. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not share, sell, or rent SMS opt-in data or consent with third parties for marketing purposes.

Google User Data and Google API Services

Calende may allow users to connect their Google account in order to enable features such as calendar synchronization, availability checking, booking management, and related scheduling workflows.

When you connect your Google account, we may access certain Google user data, such as:

- calendar information, including calendars, events, busy/free status, and related metadata
- other Google data only as necessary for features you explicitly enable

We use Google user data solely to provide and improve the user-facing features of the Calende platform requested by you, including syncing bookings with your calendar, helping prevent scheduling conflicts, displaying availability, and allowing you to manage appointments.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell Google user data to third parties.

When you disconnect your Google account or request deletion of your data, we will delete Google user data stored by Calende within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

Google API Data Usage

Calende's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.We access your Google Calendar data specifically to:Create a dedicated "Calende" calendar to manage your studio bookings.Create, edit, and delete calendar events corresponding to your studio's schedule.Prevent double-booking by checking your availability.We do not share this data with third parties or use it for advertising purposes.

Clarification of User Roles

User Roles & Data Access: Google Calendar integration is an optional feature available exclusively to Administrative users (Studio Owners) to facilitate booking management. Regular users (Clients) do not have their Google account data accessed or processed by this service.

Disconnection & Data Retention

Disconnecting Services: Administrative users can revoke Calende's access to their Google account at any time by disconnecting the Google Calendar integration within the specific Studio management settings. Upon disconnection, Calende will immediately stop accessing your Google Calendar for that studio.
